Willie Jackson's Eye To Eye – Police!

A department in crisis: Eye to Eye explores the allegations, the inquiry, and the future of police in New Zealand

TV Current Affairs host Willie Jackson discloses new information into the New Zealand Police culture on Eye to Eye (Saturday TV1 9.30am).

Guests for the show include ex-policewoman and athlete Glenda Hughes who implies a culture of drugs, alcohol and fear and “pockets of debauchery” within the Wellington Police during her time.

Eye to Eye with Willie Jackson returns to air on Saturday in what will be one of its most controversial episodes to date.

Former top cop and politican Rana Waitai points the finger at Police leadership.

“The sex allegations, the inquiry, all paints a picture of a department in crisis”, says Waitai.

He says the Commission of Inquiry’s report is a sanitised version for the Government.

Waitai, along with Heather Henare the head of Womens Welfare, will be sitting opposite Police Commissioner Howard Broad who recently apologised to New Zealand on behalf of the actions of a few police officers.

This season Eye to Eye with Willie Jackson will be asking tougher questions and challenging the very foundation of New Zealand politics.
