APN outsourcing decision today
The Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union expects APN to announce its decision regarding the outsourcing of its subediting this afternoon.
If the multinational media company goes ahead with its plan around 70 subeditors from around the country will face redundancy and subediting will be contracted to Australian firm Pagemasters.
Last week the EPMU responded against APN’s proposal as part of the consultation process and launched the OurMedia! campaign for quality media, at APN’s Auckland headquarters.
More information including a copy of the EPMU’s response document can be found at www.OurMedia.org.nz
