TVNZ - New Host for Agenda
TVNZ - New Host for Agenda
Senior journalist Rawdon Christie takes over this Saturday as the new host of TVNZ's political interview programme Agenda. Christie will be joined by ONE News political editor Guyon Espiner, who will conduct the political interviews of the day, and will be the programme's support host.
Christie is an experienced journalist and presenter who has held a number of roles in TVNZ's News and Current Affairs stable, most recently with Close Up. He also presented the local version of Dragon's Den for TV ONE.
Christie takes over from Lisa Owen, who has been recalled to a full time position with ONE News as part of the network's strategy to boost levels of senior reporting talent on the ONE News 6pm bulletin. Christie will also work on the ONE News evening bulletin, combining this with his hosting role.
Agenda has earned a reputation as the country's most influential political programme, and one that sets the news agenda for the following week. The programme features interviews with headline-makers from politics, business and the media, plus a panel discussion and Dairy Diary, a weekly trip to gauge opinion at a neighbourhood dairy. Transcripts and video clips from each programme are posted on agendatv.com.
