As part of the global day of action we will be holding a peace vigil to keep the world's attention on the plight of the Burmese people and Buddhist monks.

Events are taking place in every major city in the world at 12noon on Saturday 6th October, as part of the ‘Global day of action for Burma’.

In Wellington, members of the Burmese community in New Zealand, many concerned individuals and organisations such as Amnesty International and NZ Council of Trade Unions have come together to support this event.

Place: Civic Square, Wellington, NZ

Time: 12noon - 2pm

You can also join an 11.30am procession leaving the top of Cuba Mall (at Ghuznee Street) for Civic Square.
