Dear Ms. Mackey,

In light of new evidence provided by the Dutch Government that a breed specific approach is ineffective in the reduction of dog bite incidents, I am compelled to ask you and your committee to justify the breed specific intention of the amendment, and to remove the American Pit Bull Terrier from the proposed bill.

You and members of your committee will have recieved my email yesterday appraising you of this development as reported by the NZPA. If you require further information please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
