Polar Bears Plight Hi-Lighted Via Low Budget
Video

"The plight of the polar bear has today been highlighted in a question put to political leaders John Key and Helen Clark on Youtube. The video, submitted as part of the TVNZ/ Youtube election debate due to air on Tuesday 14 October, features a polar bear - panicked and sodden - in a domestic pool somewhere in Grey Lynn Auckland.
"In a very moving and poignant plea, the bear informs John and Helen that there may be no summer ice left in the Arctic within the next five years due to climate change, and that its survival is accordingly shaky. The bear says it has already lost many of its friends care of this global crisis.
"What policies will your parties put in place to help combat climate change and ensure my survival?" asks the bear, before doggy-paddling to the deep end.
