Viewers Vote With Remotes To Give TVNZ Election Coverage Honours
TV ONE's coverage of the New Zealand election on Saturday night was a winner for the national broadcaster.
The Election night special, hosted by Mark Sainsbury, reached 1.9 million New Zealanders during the course of the night, with an average audience of over half a million people throughout the programme.
This represented more than double the audience watching TV3 - with TV ONE rating 12.9 and TV3 rating 6.2.
