Letter to Minister: Fiji NZ Diplomatic Situation
Honorable Murray McCully
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Dear Sir
As President of Fiji Club of NZ (FCNZ) I have been inundated with phone calls from our fellow Fijians expressing their strong desire for your government to grant student visa to our fellow Fijian Mr. George Nacewa.
I understand from the numerous discussions I had with our Fijian community that Mr. George Nacewa is a fine, young, industrious and helpful gentleman.
We humbly request you and your government to please grant the student visa to George Nacewa for him to complete his studies in NZ on humanitarian grounds.
The granting of visa would result in avoiding the diplomatic standoff and will help in the brighter future for both NZ and Fiji.
Thank you.
Faithfully yours
Alton Shameem
