Symposium on Digital Copyright
PRESS RELEASE
Symposium on Digital Copyright
The public debate in New Zealand around section 92A
of the Copyright Act and the role of Internet service
providers in terminating the accounts of repeat infringers
of copyright has raised important questions about the
enforcement of copyright law in the digital environment.
The New Zealand Government is considering public submissions
on a proposed replacement for section 92A and issues arising
from digital copyright are also being considered by
governments overseas.
Henry Hughes is proud to be
sponsoring a symposium presented by the New Zealand Centre
of International Economic Law entitled “The Copyright
Future: Authors, Owners, Orphans, Users and Repeat
Infringers”.
