Grey Power Federation: Congrats to Min. of Justice
MEDIA RELEASE
The Grey Power Federation welcomes and congratulates the Minister of Justice on his release to help victims of crime and their families. While, all the eight initiatives will be beneficial to the many victims of violent crime Grey Power recognize that will never fully compensate the victim as they carry the crime committed against them for the rest of their lives. No financial payment will take these memories away.
It
is to be hoped that the Minister will review the offender
levy to increase it to a more realistic figure of at least
$100 for each offence.
We also welcome the new legislation that this release mentions as this may help to act as a deterrent to the crime rates in New Zealand.
