Kiwi Party President Gordon Copeland said today that he was delighted to announce the appointment of Aucklander Simonne Dyer as the Party’s Deputy Leader.
“Simonne is a great new Zealander. Widowed at a young age, she raised four children on her own before marrying Bob over 20 years ago. Today the couple have 8 adult children & 23 grandchildren.”
“She has spent 15 years of her adult life working on the hospital ship Anastasis, including 10 years as CEO, mainly in the developing nations. She returned to New Zealand in 1999 but remains involved in a number of international aid and development organisations.”
“In her new role Simonne will bring a great deal of wisdom and experience to the Kiwi Party. She has a great love for New Zealand and its people and is passionate about contributing to the Party’s goal of building a great nation based on good values.”
“Simonne contested both the 2008 elections and the Mt. Albert by-election and greatly impressed all who heard her speak.”
