Waitakere Ethnic Board (WEB) 2010 - 2012

Waitakere Ethnic Board’s newly elected committee is looking forward to their upcoming term as Board Members of the Waitakere Ward for the next 2 years.

Newly appointed President Amail Habib says, “We are committed to advocating for the voice of migrant and refugee communities in the Waitakere region, particularly with all the changes around the Super City”.

“The new Board is dynamic and diverse and comprises of Board Members from ten different nationalities” says Amail, currently an employee of Bayleys Real Estate Ltd. “We hope that the diversity in the Board can inspire people of varying backgrounds to connect and engage with WEB to ensure their voices are heard”.

The members of Waitakere Ethnic Board recently had its election and the following have been elected:
• Amail Habib, President
• Chuk kwon Yang (John), Vice President
• Agnes Granada, Secretary
• Jaswinder Kaur, Treasurer

• The Board also appointed:
• Arvinder Vasudeva, Community Liaison Officer
• Ernest Remy Bucumi, Community Liaison Officers
• Linda Chen, Membership Officer
• Neeta Chhima, Membership Officer Harley Liu, Event Officer
• Lawrence Amos, Event Officer
• Sunil Kaushal, PR/Media Officer

• The rest of board members are:
• Ann Pala QSM
• Dr Camille Nakhid
