Miccio launches Facebook page to engage with Nelson supporters
Mayoral candidate Aldo Miccio has launched a page on the social networking website, Facebook.
Miccio, who announced his mayoral candidacy for the 2010 local body elections in January of this year, says Facebook is a socially relevant and accessible way of reaching Nelsonians via the internet.
"When I launched my vision some weeks ago, I opened my office door for Nelson ratepayers to come and meet me and share their views about their priorities for the city," he says. "I have some very valuable meetings with people and will communicate outcomes of those meetings in due course.
"I also see Facebook as a great way to share ideas, and for supporters to keep in touch with what is happening with the campaign," he says. "Facebook users can sign up to my page by searching for 'Aldo Miccio for Mayor' (or by following the link below) to voice their support, keep updated with my progress, ideas and strategies, and upcoming events."
