New Chief Commissioner brings fresh focus
The Families Commission welcomes the appointment of respected researcher Carl Davidson as the new Chief Commissioner.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the commissioners, the staff and getting my feet under the desk,” says Chief Commissioner Carl Davidson.
Carl Davidson is one of New Zealand’s most experienced market and social researchers. He brings to the Commission a range of skills acquired from works as a Social Scientist with the DSIR, an academic with Massey University and a market researcher with a range of companies.
“Research is an important tool that can assist the Government to develop and deliver policies. My role as Chief Commissioner will be to ensure that the Families Commission delivers research that can inform policy decisions.
“I believe the Commission now has a clear focus and I look forward to helping the Commission deliver world class research,” says Mr Davidson.
