Dunne congratulates Wade-Brown
UnitedFuture leader Peter Dunne has congratulated Celia Wade-Brown for winning the Wellington mayoralty today.
“I congratulate Celia on her victory in what was the electoral equivalent of a photo-finish,” said Mr Dunne.
“Celia has been a dedicated and energetic councillor and I now look forward to her bringing those qualities to her mayoralty.”
“I particularly look forward to working with Celia in further developing the Great Harbour Way cycle-route which I am a great supporter of.”
“Finally, I would like to acknowledge the outgoing mayor Kerry Prendergast. Kerry has been a passionate and hardworking mayor for the past nine years who has been tireless in her advocacy on behalf of the city,” said Mr Dunne.
