Three years of State terror

Three years of State terror

Today marks the third anniversary of the State's terroristic invasion into the homes of people around the country, of the lockdown of the community of Ruatoki and of the witch-hunt for anarchists who support tino rangatiratanga. This is a day that will never be forgotten. The black clad paramilitary police force instructed by their masters in the Beehive specifically carried out acts of terror against the people of Tuhoe.

This local 'war on terror' is nothing more than the thinly veiled agenda of domination and control over the indigenous people of this country which has been underway for 170 years. Tuhoe and those sympathetic to their quest for justice were the convenient scapegoats and targets for a government desperate to prove to itself and the world that it was sovereign and supreme, that it was in control.

The ceaseless quest by the State and its army of mercenary crown lawyers to press ahead with arms and gang charges is clearer evidence still of the vindictive brutality of the state and its agents towards those who seek genuine justice. The armed gang to be feared in this country is the police. For more than 1,000 days, the 18 accused have been held in a purgatory awaiting trial on charges dreamed up in the sick narratives of deluded 'anti-terror' cops and overpaid lawyers.

It is time to end the madness of the State. It is time to drop the charges. It is time for justice for Tuhoe. It is time for mana motuhakeand tino rangatiratanga for all iwi and hapu.
