Law Society President to meet Fijian Solicitor-General in Wellington
New Zealand Law Society President Jonathan Temm will meet Fijian Solicitor-General Christopher Pryde in Wellington next week.
This follows an invitation to Mr Temm to attend the Attorney-General’s Conference in Nadi from 3-4 December after the New Zealand Law Society raised concerns about the status of the rule of law in Fiji.
Mr Temm was unable to attend the conference because of prior commitments. He has now received an invitation to visit Fiji in early 2011.
Mr Temm said today he was pleased at the opportunity to meet Mr Pryde in Wellington on 7 December. The meeting with Mr Pryde, who is a New Zealander, will occur before Mr Pryde travels on to Australia.
