Media Release from the Justice for Robin Bain Group
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Justice for Robin Bain
28 December 2010
Media Release from the Justice for Robin Bain Group:
Simon Power, Minister of Justice has informed the Bain Defence Team that their compensation bid has been rejected and they have to prove innocence on the balance of probabilities. The Bain team have responded by saying that they are confident of proving innocence and that it may cost up to $10 million to do so and it is more fiscally prudent for the government to pay out the requested compensation of $1 million or more
The Justice for Robin Bain Group are pleased that
the Ministry has rejected the compensation bid and this
outcome was anticipated.
