ALCP: Banning Kronic is not the answer
ALCP: Banning Kronic is not the answer
The
Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party (ALCP) candidate in the Te
Tai Tokerau by-election Maki Herbert says banning Kronic
would only strengthen the black-market trade in
drugs.
“The Government created a class-D for regulated, R18 products,” Ms Herbert said.
“They should give class-D a fair go.”
Bringing cannabis into this category would reduce demand for synthetic cannabinoids, Ms Herbert said.
“Banning Kronic will only drive more kiwis into the black-market drugs trade,” she said.
“We should protect our mokopuna from criminal elements.”
Ms Herbert has challenged the other candidates in the Te Tai Tokerau by-election to express their views on cannabis.
So far none of the other candidates have stated their views on cannabis or Kronic publically, she said.
