DSC selects Waikato candidate
Democrats for Social Credit (DSC) has confirmed John Pemberton as its Waikato Electorate candidate for November's general election. Mr Pemberton is the Deputy Leader of the DSC party and will be contesting his ninth general election.
"I am once again promoting the cause of monetary reform to the Waikato voters.
"The need for reform is greater now than it ever has been - the fallout from the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) continues around the world, but is more clearly evidenced in the European Union and America.
"Ever since GFC, governments have tried to restore, stabilise and strengthen the banking and financial systems of the world - an impossibility," Pemberton contends.
"The world's 'money as debt' system is inherently unstable and has certainly failed the test of time. It has only succeeded in creating a huge mountain of unsustainable, un-repayable compounding debt which burdens us all."
"My message is simply: the financial system needs to be reformed - not rebuilt" Mr Pemberton said.
