6.1 Magnitude Quake Strikes Bali - MFAT Response
The following can be attributed to a spokesperson for the Ministry:
* A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck Bali yesterday and was widely felt throughout the island.
* There are reports of minor injuries, minor damage to buildings and some communication outages.
* MFAT is aware of one New Zealander who sustained minor injuries in the earthquake.
* New Zealanders in Bali are advised to contact family and friends in New Zealand to advise them of their safety and wellbeing.
