The New Plymouth Independent Seat .. Your Seat Your Future

Politics.

Why Rusty Kane is standing as an Independent and proposing that New Plymouth have its own Independent Seat.

If elected he will give New Plymouth electorate their own political vehicle the New Plymouth Independent Seat. This would give New Plymouth a lot more political leverage when dealing with Government. The New Plymouth electorate would no longer be reliant on political party candidates who are confined by their party’s wishes and not the electorates. New Plymouth by having their own seat would put the electorate along with its issues in a much strong position politically, to better lobby their key issues to Government. With the power of having a electoral seat New Plymouth can offer the Government the seats support for confidence and supply. In return for putting New Plymouth electorates top key priorities into action. The New Plymouth Independent Seat will bring New Plymouth up to a new level of political influence, driven from the community up. The New Plymouth Independent Seat will be directed and advised democratically through the electorates New Plymouth community and business leaders. The seat being non-party aligned would include the input of a independent council, made up of New Plymouth key representatives, from council, business, health, Iwi, and social services, to put forward a list of the districts top key priorities to be addressed through the seat.
