How Healthy Is Our Electoral System?

How Healthy Is Our Electoral System?

Every three years we get the opportunity to tell our politicians what we think about them. It’s called "the electoral cycle" and it delivers results wrapped in detailed analysis and presented with media controversy.

But, are we, the voters, well-informed? Is the labelling on the electoral offerings accurate? Given that not every wish can be responded to, are policy outcomes fair?

In the 200th edition of IN CONVERSATION WITH NOEL CHEER on Triangle/Stratos Television, Associate Professor Raymond Miller of the Department of Political Studies at the University of Auckland provides some of the answers.

STRATOS TELEVISION, Nationwide: Monday November 21st at 8:00pm (repeated November 23rd at 6:30am and November 25th at 12:30pm). Stratos is found on Sky Digital Channel 89 and Freeview Channel 21. Stratos is found also on Telstraclear Cable Channel 89 in Wellington, Kapiti and Christchurch and nationwide on the streaming television website ecasttv.co.nz.

TRIANGLE TELEVISION, Auckland (UHF Channels 41, 42 and 52): Wednesday November 23rd at 7:00pm (repeated November 25th at 12:30pm)
