Rangatahi and Musicians Unite for Annette Sykes!
FIRST PUBLIC PERFORMANCE OF MANA SONG BY RYAN MONGA
At Midday tomorrow (Thursday) outside the Waiariki Office of MANA at midday, Ryan Monga will play for the first time in public the song he composed for MANA.
Rangatahi have been invited to jam with Ryan and spend time with one of the most accomplished musicians from Aotearoa.
MANA candidate for Waiariki Annette Sykes says she is really humbled by Ryan's efforts to write a song for MANA and that he is going to spend time jamming with rangatahi.
"Ryan has spent his lifetime being a model for our younger people and he continues to give his time and expertise towards rangatahi who want to work in the music industry."
Ryan Monga says he wrote the song for MANA because of what they stand for.
"They continue to fight for the poor and for those who are marginalised.
"I have known both Hone and Annette for several years and they have always been great advocates for our people.
"I am telling everybody I know to vote for MANA and I hope that all musicians and rangatahi give Annette Sykes their tick to be the next representative of Waiariki. I have never known a person more committed and dedicated to her people. Vote for Annette Sykes."
Note: The Waiariki Office of MANA is 1247 Pukeatua Street, Rotorua.
