Bill to Extend Paid Parental Leave
Bill to Extend Paid Parental Leave
The Working Women’s Resource Centre commends the Auckland Chamber of Commerce CEO Michael Barnett for his support for Sue Moroney’s Bill extending paid parental leave.
WWRC Convenor Tanja Bristow says “ it is refreshing to see men from the business community understanding the need to invest in the future generation. The babies supported by Sue Moroney’s Bill will be our customers and workers in the future – the best start for them can only help our economy long term. We also agree with Michael Barnett that in the short term extended paid parental leave will help retain women who are a vital part of the productive NZ workforce.”
