Christchurch Bi-Election Announcement
Christchurch Bi-Election Announcement
The Conservative Party is pleased to announce its candidate for the Christchurch East Bi-Election, Leighton Baker.
Leighton stood in the electorate during the last general election, after working in the area immediately following the September Earthquakes.
Leighton is a
Licensed Building Practitioner and employer, married
with
four children, who wants a fair deal for the people
of Christchurch.
"The whole building industry works on the
principle of getting a good
understanding of the clients
needs, then engaging the best people involved
to meet
those needs. Thats exactly how a local representative
should
operate. Cross party co-operation to meet the
needs of constituants," says Mr Baker.
Party Leader Colin Craig says "Leighton is one of New Zealand's good kiwi blokes, and he'll certainly add some life to the campaign."
