Governor-General attending ceremony of condolences for HM King Abdullah

At the invitation of the Prime Minister, the Governor-General, Lt Gen The Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae will travel to Saudi Arabia to represent New Zealand at the ceremony of condolences for HM King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He will join Heads of State and dignitaries from many countries at the ceremony, and expects to tender condolences on New Zealand’s behalf on Tuesday.
