SPACE congratulates Vodafone on parental leave policy
SPACE NZ Trust manager, Leanne Dawson, has today congratulated Vodafone New Zealand on its ground-breaking new parental leave policy better supporting parents during the critical early stages of their baby’s development.
Ms Dawson says it is exciting to see a business recognise the value in supporting parents to be parents.
“Parents are the most important nurturers and educators of their children. Being able to spend quality time with a new baby is critical for forming a deep parent-child bond.
“Vodafone’s new policy takes away some of the stress of being a parent and will support parent’s transition back into their workforce.
“We know strong families build strong and connected communities. This policy is a win-win for everyone - maximising social and economic benefits not only to the family and to Vodafone, but to the wider community too,” Ms Dawson says.
