Wally Yovich denies chickens freedom of speech

Today Wally Yovich will be called on by a group of friendly protesting chickens not to fund a cruel colony cage egg factory farm.

Yovich is investing millions into a company called Craddock Farms that want to build New Zealand's biggest colony cage egg factory farm in Patumahoe. Auckland City Council declined their application earlier this year but Craddock Farms are appealing in the Environment Court.

Yovich has already attempted to stop the protest from going a head with false claims that protesters must apply for a permit.

"It's an outrageous mis-truth that we need a permit to protest on a public footpath," says Stop Craddock Farms spokesperson Deirdre Sims.

"Wally Yovich is trying to stop our peaceful protests with his bully-tactics but it won't work. We know our rights and we'll continue to protest outside his office until he agrees to pull his investment into animal cruelty,"

"We're working hard to stop Craddock Farms building what will be the country's biggest colony cage egg factory farm. If Wally removes his funding from the factory farm, it will go a long way towards stopping construction of this caged hen hell hole."

ENDS.
