Hypocrisy right under National’s noses
Hypocrisy right under National’s noses
National’s hypocrisy has been laid bare by its skyrocketing cost and number of staff in its Ministerial offices while it tells the rest of the country to tighten its belt, Labour’s State Services spokesperson Kris Faafoi says.
“When National arrived into office less than 10 per cent of Ministerial staffers earned over $100,000. That has now ballooned out to around 30 per cent.
“National’s hypocrisy is rank. At a time it’s telling teachers, nurses and our front line police officers not to expect large pay increases, National is paying more of their staff six figure salaries.
“This shows the lie of National’s promise to keep costs down. National’s wasteful spending on hair-straighteners, over-priced signs and business-class flights has now extended to its own staff,” Kris Faafoi said.
