Community Groups Call To Aid Syrian Refugees
Community Groups Call To Aid Syrian Refugees
Citizens Resistance have joined the many thousands of Kiwi's calling for immediate humanitarian action in the tragic Syrian refugee crisis.
We know we can do more, alot more and now, right now. These people are desperate. One can only imagine the suffering men women and children are going through. The terrible images depicted in news feeds are but a small sample of the true suffering.
As good global citizens we must act quickly and do our share. Here in Northland our community is rallying together, we have the Kiwi can do attitude rising to the fore.
Generous heart warming offers of full accommodation have been well received. That's 2 committed groups with the capacity to fully house and cater for 70 & 50 refugees a piece. An outstanding offer that we want actioned upon NOW.
We call on the Government of our Nation to act with haste, without delay. Foreign Affairs contact the appropriate Aid Agencies, tell them we have able Kiwi citizens ready and waiting to do the very best in our humanitarian duty.
Scramble our air force, get the Hercules aircraft in the air. New Zealand is coming from half way across the World to bring a little relief, playing our part in this crisis. Perhaps as a priority, just like in abandoning a sinking ship, women & children first. This may help alleviate those Kiwis with the concerns we are seeing and hearing being vented.
Press conference today 10.am Channel North TV studio, Whangarei.
