David Seymour withdraws from euthanasia debate
Euthanasia-Free NZ is disappointed that David Seymour seems unwilling to engage in an honest intellectual discussion with his opponents, despite being quick to criticize them publicly.
PlainsFM host Kenny Ardouin invited David Seymour, MP for ACT, and Renee Joubert, Executive Officer of Euthanasia-Free NZ, to engage in a friendly debate on voluntary euthanasia and the End of LIfe Choice Bill on tonight’s Wireless Watchdog show.
Yesterday evening Mr Ardouin emailed Ms Joubert, “Once David Seymour was informed that Euthanasia-Free NZ would also be represented on the programme, he subsequently declined the opportunity for interview, citing that he was no longer available which is disappointing.”
Mr Ardouin promised to give more details about the dialogue between Mr Seymour and himself during tonight's phone interview with Ms Joubert.
The show is scheduled to be aired live at 9 pm on Thursday and to be repeated at 11 am on Friday. It is broadcasted at 96.9 FM in the Canterbury region and streamed at plainsfm.org.nz.
