first year: environmentguide.org.nz
The end of 2015 marks the first year of the
Environment Foundation's "Environment Guide" which offers an
accessible and reliable public information resource to
assist individuals, businesses and community groups to more
effectively participate in environmental management
matters.
Over the year the Environment Guide has received much positive feedback. Its first year has been a success.
The quality of the Guide is reliant on expert contribution and support. The Environment Foundation would like to thank all those who contributed to the Guide in 2015: Air Quality - Kevin Rolfe, Kevin Rolfe Consulting Ltd, Contaminated land - Jade McConchie,Forestry - New Zealand Forest Owners Association, Heritage - Heritage New Zealand and Horticuture - Horticulture NZ. The Foundation would also like to thank the New Zealand Law Foundation as a key supporter and Liss Dunn for her technical support.
New Zealand's environment, science, law and related industry best practice are not static. Early 2016 will see a comprehensive update of the Guide on order to keep up. Entirely new sections will be included in areas where there have been big changes, including climate change, natural hazards and farming.
