$20 billion gift to property development companies

"Thursday the 18th of February 2016, was a dark day in the history of this country, with the passing of the Social Housing Reform Transaction Mandate Bill, which extends unprecedented powers to two Ministers of the Crown," says Housing Lobby Spokesperson Sue Henry.

(Three bills divided from the Social Housing Reform (Transaction Mandate) Bill have passed their final readings.
The Housing Amendment Bill, the Housing Corporation (Social Housing Reform) Amendment Bill, and the Housing Restructuring and Tenancy Matters (Social Housing Reform) Amendment Bill (No 2) have passed third reading.
Ayes 63 (National 59, Maori Party 2, ACT 1, United Future 1)
Noes 56 (Labour 30, Greens 14, NZ First 12)
