Rūnanga Board to Decide on Future Role of Chairman
Following Mr Raniera Tau’s appearance in the Invercargill District Court today, Acting Board Chair, Carol Dodd confirmed that the Board of Trustees for Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi O Ngāpuhi will give full consideration to today’s court decisions.
“The Board’s priority is to determine Mr Tau’s future role with the Rūnanga, in the best interests of all Ngāpuhi. A further statement will be released once the Board have a made a final decision and notified appropriate parties” says Mrs Dodd.
The Rūnanga, including the Board of Trustees will not comment further on matters relating to Mr Tau, until a further statement is released.
