Election planning conference and AGM at Awaroa
Bay
--------------------------------------------------
The Cannabis Party will hold its election planning conference and AGM at Awaroa Bay in the Abel Tasman National Park.
The conference will be on the 1st and 2nd of October at the beach resort made famous by the crowd funded beach which was returned to public ownership earlier this year.
Party members, supporters of cannabis law reform and the media are invited to take part in the weekend conference.
Party secretary Julian Crawford said there was official treasury backing for the economic viability of legalisation.
"We are the only political party dedicated to legalising and regulating cannabis for medical, recreational and industrial purposes. All the parties in parliament have fallen short of supporting legalization," he said.
"The Key government has failed the public by ignoring the $150 million in revenue and $400 million in savings that could come from legal cannabis.
"This conference will allow some of the best minds in the cannabis movement to come together and select quality candidates for Parliament."
