Comment by Marc Corlett QC, counsel acting for Mr Yan
"I can confirm that after several months of negotiation, Mr Yan is pleased to have reached a commercial compromise with the Commissioner of Police that resolves the civil forfeiture proceedings in New Zealand. The settlement enables Mr Yan to release valuable assets from the temporary retraining orders that have been in place since they were granted without notice in August 2014, and to return his focus to his business activities in New Zealand and elsewhere.
At this point in time, we do not intend to make any further comment in relation to this matter."
