SST congratulate police on arrest made in brutal attack in Panmure last week
20th September 2016
A 17-year-old girl has been arrested in relation to the brutal car jacking in Panmure that hospitalised an elderly woman last week and two other suspects, under the age of 17, have been "identified.
Sensible sentencing trust Youth advocate Jess Mcvicar has congratulated the police on their fast action and hard work into this senseless horrific crime.
Jess says "it is a relief knowing at least one of these criminals has been arrested and hopefully the other arrests will be made soon."
"My hope is that they will be tried in the adult court and have real consequences for their dispicable actions. If the current legislation is changed, being youth court aged increased to 17, then these girls would all be tried in youth court and get a smack on the hand for nearly killing an annocent woman."
"The police have done a fantastic job in this investigation and now we hope our justice system does the same."
