The Governor-General, Dame Patsy Reddy
has postponed her planned trip to the Nelson-Tasman region,
due to the recent earthquakes.
Government House Official Secretary Gregory Baughen said with emergency efforts in the upper South Island still taking place, the timing was not right for a regional visit.
The visit will now take place
sometime in the New
Year.
