The International Muslim Association of New Zealand rejects anti semitic and misogynist teachings
“As
tolerant and peaceful New Zealanders we reject anti-Semitic
and misogynist teachings and speeches. These kinds of views
do not reflect us and they do not represent us, they dismay
us,” said Tahir Nawaz.
“We also stand by the ICWNZ's statement in our rejection of these speeches.”
Mr Nawaz said Islam is founded on social reconciliation and urges Muslims to respect other faiths, to counter evil with goodness.
“We strictly denounce any Muslim expressing his or her thoughts in a manner demeaning the others’ religions or religious scholars, which is against the Islamic teachings.Furthermore, we strictly condemn all activities humiliating any religion” said Mr Nawaz.
