Conservatives Will Attend AoU Debate
Although canned from the University of Auckland Debating Society's Political debate, New Zealand's 5th most popular party at the last election will attend this Thursday night's debate to answer questions from interested voters.
"This is the Establishment trying to control and frame the boundaries of political debate in New Zealand. It's exactly the sort of stunt that the public in Britain and the USA rose up against last year..and the New Zealand public are not going to stand for it either. Elections are important...Conservatives have a right to be heard," says Leighton Baker, Party Leader.
