Towards a Gender Equal New Zealand – Taking Action
We
have talked, we have marched and now it is time for
action!
NCWNZ is hosting a community focused event about
how we can achieve a gender equal New Zealand. We start
with a range of amazing women speaking about gender
(in)equality – specific themes include pay equity,
violence in our community, grass roots political activism
and the environment.
Keynote speaker: Lizzie
Marvelly
Panelists: Dr Jackie Blue (Human Rights
Commission), Louise Nicholas (Victim Advocate) Prue Kapua
(Te Ropu Wahine Maori Toko i te Ora – Maori Women’s
Welfare League) and Greer Rasmussen (Generation Zero
Auckland)
The afternoon session will focus on how we can
take action together.
