TVNZ DEBATE

1. I very recently accepted TVNZ’s invitation to take part in a debate with all parliamentary party leaders and party leaders outside Parliament with 3% in a recent poll.

2. I cleared my programme and accepted that invitation enthusiastically.

3. Hence, I was astonished, on a general inquiry late Tuesday, to be told by them that neither Labour nor National had ever accepted the invitation.

4. However, the attached email purports otherwise.

5. It appears Labour and National see little value in this debate and because of their absence, disappointingly, I have been driven to the same conclusion.
