Phil Goff's giant mirror cracks
6 AUGUST 2018
Ratepayers will be alarmed that a $260,000 2.4m mirror has cracked less
than a week since its installation on O'Connell St, says the
Auckland Ratepayers’ Alliance.
Alliance spokesperson Jo Holmes says “This story has gone from blunder to catastrophe. The mirror was budgeted to cost $80,000 blew out to $260,000 but it couldn't even withstand a week. You couldn't make this stuff up."
"If Mr Goff wonders why we can't afford better infrastructure, he should look in the mirror."
