Allegation of historical wrongdoing by Police officers
11 March 2019
The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a complaint made in October 2018 that in 1989 a Police officer led a raid at a property and planted drugs after the occupant of the property had witnessed corrupt and illegal acts by several Police officers a few days earlier. No charges were laid against the occupant. As Police were unable to find any corroborating evidence to support the allegation and could not progress the matter further, the investigation was closed. The Authority's review agreed with this action.
