Right to Life questions Prime Minister’s response to Roe v Wade overturn
The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern,is reported by Stuff as saying, that “the Supreme Court’s decision is incredibly upsetting.”
Right to Life questions this response as being inappropriate. The Prime Minister defends the Parliament democracy and acknowledges that those who govern do so with the permission of the governed.
Right to Life believes that the Prime Minister should be applauding the decision of the United States Supreme Court to overturn the unconstitutional Roe v Wade decision of the Supreme Court in 1973 which took away the democratic right of States to legislate on abortion.
The Court has ruled that there is no right to abortion in the United States Constitution and have ruled in accordance with the Constitution that abortion should be returned to each individual State to legislate on this issue.
Why then is the Prime Minister upset that the democratic right of the citizens in each State to legislate to protect women and uphold the right to life of its unborn children is being upheld by the Supreme Court?
