Call For Submissions On The International Treaty Examination Of Agreement To Establish The Pacific Resilience Facility
The Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee is calling for submissions on its international treaty examination of the Agreement to Establish the Pacific Resilience Facility. The examination includes the national interest analysis.
The Agreement establishes the Pacific Resilience Facility (PRF) as the first Pacific-owned and -led regional fund dedicated to building community resilience to the impacts of climate change and disasters. It will be a multilateral organisation with headquarters in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. The New Zealand Government previously pledged to contribute $20 million to the PRF.

Make a submission by 11.59pm on 21 January 2026. Please be aware that the committee intends to hold hearings on the examination on Thursday, 28 January 2026.
