Extension To Submission Deadline For Emergency Management Bill (No 2)
The Governance and Administration Committee acknowledges the recent severe weather events across the North Island. The committee recognises the significant impact these have had on affected communities, particularly for families who have lost loved ones.
In response to requests from submitters, and in light of these recent events, the committee has agreed to extend the deadline for submissions on the Emergency Management Bill (No 2).
The new closing date for submissions is 11.59pm on Sunday, 15 February 2026.
