Final Dioxins Report Public Today At 3pm – Ministry For The Environment
A Ministry for the Environment report that assesses the health risks that dioxins pose to the New Zealand public will be published on the Ministry’s website today at 3pm. Two cabinet papers on the report will also be published.
As there is significant public interest in the report – Evaluation of the toxicity of dioxins and dioxin-like PCBs: a Health Risk Appraisal for the New Zealand population – the Ministry has finalised the report with urgency.
The earlier ‘leaked’ version of the report is a draft that is now out of date and contains inaccuracies and incomplete information.
The report can be downloaded at: http:// http://www.mfe.govt.nz/new/index.htm
Printed copies of the report will be available from the Ministry by the end of next week.
