Macromedia support site named among industry's "Ten Best"

The Association of Support Professionals ranks sites based on usability, design and navigation

AUCKLAND New Zealand - 19 June 2003 - Macromedia (Nasdaq: MACR) announced it has been named as one of the "Ten Best Web Support Sites of 2003" by the Association of Support Professionals (ASP), an international organisation dedicated to the advancement of the technical support profession.

The ASP panel of judges reviews support sites based on 25 different criteria including performance, page load times, look and feel, navigation, integration of support resources, and knowledge base queries. Macromedia was cited as one of the best support providers alongside companies including BEA Systems, Inc., Dell Computer Corporation, and Hewlett-Packard Company.

"Macromedia is committed to delivering the highest quality support possible, and it is great to have an industry group like the ASP tell us we are achieving that goal," said Craig Goodman, managing editor of support, Macromedia. "Macromedia actively works with our customers to make sure we are delivering a site that gives them the support and developer resources they need, so we share this award with our community."

"Macromedia has always been ahead of the pack in its attention to web support usability issues," said Jeffrey Tarter, executive director, ASP. "This year the company took on the tough challenge of delivering an integrated web experience across an even wider range of products and markets, and the result is a support site that sets a new standard for excellence."
